This is a contest entry I'm working on. I'm not certain that it's finished. I'm not sure what else to do with it, and expert advice is hard to come by, so any critique is quite welcome.

Old Mother's visitors are fairies. She's been a bit crazy ever since they took her husband and her father.

This is my entry for a contest for drawing someone's original characters.

The description I was working from:
"Age: 16 or so.
Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown
Skin: Sade is dark-skinned. She is black, so by dark-skinned I don't mean "white girl with a bit of a tan."
Build: Curvy, very full figured-- and by that I don't mean thin but with a big chest. She is not skinny. She's a large girl. **Please don't be afraid to make her big, and don't worry about making her "too fat". She's fairly round, and I'd love to see more big, beautiful Sade.**
Details: She is a princess, and she likes to dress elaborately. Gold, silks, elaborate gowns. She most often wears red, purple, and orange. Sade is a bit haughty, a bit vain. She is like a sister to her cousin, Mani, and it would be appropriate to draw them together. They live in an island country with warm climate. Other clothing tips: may look like a mix of multiple fashions and colors, but still pulled off in an interesting manner. If she is shown with jewelry, she should be wearing one earring, a large-ish one, roughly a heart shape, and white."
